ALLAH BLESS AND PROTECT HIS MAJESTY ON THE BLESSED OCCASION OF EID AND 40 NATIONAL DAY
HIS Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said has once again proved that he is a leader with a golden heart. Yesterday’s royal grant of 40 per cent of pension salary to pensioners in the private sector will bring smiles laced with gratitude to beneficiaries. The Royal gesture, symbolic for its number that coincides with the 40th National Day on November 18, will be remembered by the recipients not for the extra amount they would receive but for its poignancy:The modern Oman we see today is the result of his untiring efforts he has been putting in for the last 40 years. The glory on which we can really gloat over is when the United Nations declared the Sultanate as No. 1 in the world in human development. Such an achievement would not have been possible without a dynamic and forward-looking leader like His Majesty the Sultan whose wise policies are beacons in our development march.
