100-million-rial Royal Grant given by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said( Icon of Peace & Development) on the occasion of the 40th National Day. The grant, to be utilised during the eighth five-year plan beginning 2011, includes 1,000 scholarships for Omani citizens to purse higher education in foreign countries in major branches like engineering, economics, accounting, financial analysis, information technology and medicine.The Sultanate’s human resources development programme will benefit immensely from the grant.
